will I still be considered a 2nd time bankrupt after 12 years

I declared bankruptcy in a different proince in 1995; discharged in 1996. A mortgage broker I talked to who specializes in post-bankruptcy mortgages says that I don`t have to disclose my first bankruptcy since it was more than 10 years ago. Is that true

If you have filed bankruptcy once before and you file again now then yes, it will be for the second time. Bankruptcy filings form part of a permanent record with the bankruptcy Court no matter which province (or country) you file in.
