Should I Apply for Bankruptcy

I received OSAP in 1998 (grant/loan).After completing school the bank informed me I would start paying as soon as I received notice from them. Three years ago 2005 OSAP got in touch with me to inform me they had never received the final paperwork and I would have to repay the complete amount. They take my income tax each year but I don`t think I should be punished due to the bank/revenue canada mistake and neglect. Should I file for bankruptcy? I no longer have copies of the documents as I have moved several times and they have been misplaced along the way. I appreciate any advice you can give me. Thank You

No one can tell you whether or not you should be filing bankrutpcy based on a quick blog posting – there are far too many factors to consider.

You should use teh links on thsi page to finda trustee in your area and give them a call – they will discuss your situation in detail and describe your options to deal with this debt.
