3rd Party Collection
April 22nd, 2008 by Questions
I will be filing very soon for Bankruptcy or Division One proposal – My question is I have received letters from companies that state they have purchased my Wells Fargo Business Mastercard debt and I now owe them? The lady at my trustee office said she does not list collection companies but rather the banks. In this case would I list Wells Fargo Business Mastercard to the company that says they own the debt now? Please advise

The list of creditors is something you swear to – if you want to list both Wells Fargo and this new company you should. Alternatively, your trustee may prepare a supplemental mailing list of compnaies that are not on your list of creditors, but will still be sent a copy of your bankruptcy papers.
Talk to your trustee (or find another one) – this is your list of debts and you need to be comfortable with it.
