income tax returns

i declared bankruptcy in june 2006 the trustee filed our tax returns for that year and the refund went to them.will the 2007 return go to them as well and who will be filing the return.does it matter if one is discharged or not. i thought the trustee only filed for the year someone declares bankruptcy

In normal circumstances the discharge has nothing to do with it. In terms of taxes the important date is year of the date you filed bankruptcy. So if you filed in June 2006 then your trustee will likely receive your returns for 2006 and your 2007 will be yours to keep.
