I had a huge CRA debt and they garnished my pay check, seized my bank account and made my life miserable. I worried constantly for 3 years. The phone ringing scared me … I was terrified of the mailbox and I felt like I was going to fall into a huge hole of despair.

Thank you for this post. This is one of the most common things I hear in the weeks following the filing of a bankruptcy or proposal.

It is important to remember that these types of programs have been put in place for a reason, it is not to embarass, it is not make life difficult, but to help those who find themselves in a position similar to this so they can focus on those things that are more important in life.
