Paying Trustee fee
February 11th, 2008 by Questions
I reside in Ontario.
Assuming I am not working and have no assets to speak of, what amount do I need to pay the Trustee that will process my bankrupcy ?
DO I have the option to pay the whole amount at one time or do I need to spread it out during the 9 months that I am brankrupt ?
MY wife will supply me with the funds for the Trustee, as I have no $$
Thank-you

By law, trustees are not permitted to advertise their fees. The basic cost of filing bankruptcy is usually in the $1,400 – $1,600 range. Certainly you may pay the entire fee up front, but that will not alter the time required to complee the process. bankruptcy takes 9 months to be completed and there are things you’ll need to do each month of the procedure.
