Credit report

I was dishcarged from my first bankruptcy in 07, 2000. And I was discharged from my second banckruptcy on 11, 2003. Why would my first bankruptcy still shows on my credit report from Equifax ? Thanks

A licensed trustee said...

The problem you are encountering is becuase you filed a second bankrutpcy before the first one was removed from your report. It is likely the first bankruptcy will be displayed for as long as the second and that may be up to 14 years.

You need to contact the credit bureau’s directly to determine what their policies in this area are.
