Regarding the new Dec. 14, 2007 bankruptcy law, can you provide some details? Do you know what the new consumer proposal limit will be?

Is there any estimate on when the laws will come into effect?

A licensed trustee said...

The new consumer proposal limit will be $250,000 of debts, excluding the mortgage on your pricipal residence.

Unfortunately, the government has nto provided any guidance as to when the new law will be implemented…

If I had to guess (and that’s all this is) I’d say either July 2 or Sep 2 of this year…
