Can my parents buy or lease a car for me to use after I file for bankruptcy before I am discharged?

A licensed trustee said...

Certainly they may, BUT if they BUY a car and put it in your name it will be treated as “after acquired property” or a “windfall” by your trustee – that means the car could be seized and sold, or at the very least you’d have to pay your trustee an amount equal to it’s value in order to keep it.
