Canada Student Loans

In 2008….when you have no choice but to declare bankruptcy….what happens to an outstanding student loan that hasnt been able to be paid back

This depends on how old the student loans are. If more than 10 years has expired since you last attended school then your student loan will be cleared along with your other debts. However if it is less than 10 years then once you are discharged from bankruptcy you will have to make arrangements to continue to pay these loans down. For more information on this you are best to discuss it with your trustee.
