Pending Divorce

I have a pending divorce and my soon to be ex-wife has just claimed bankruptcy. Although she left almost 2 years ago, her name is still on my mortgage – I have custody of our 2 children. Am I at risk of losing my home due to her bankruptcy? Will she still be required to pay child support?

this will largely depend on what province you live in, the provincial exemption that is available and the amount of equity in the house. So to get a more clear idea you must contact a local trustee.

As for child support, this is really up to the divorce proceeding so I am not in a position to comment, you would be better to discuss this with your attorney.
