Already bankrupt

the credit bureau has demanded a payment on my debt by my husband it was an Xtra Cash advance company and they say because the cheque was drawn on a joint account,& he has to pay but no where did he sign or accept the debt. Is he still liable?

Discuss this with your trustee.

Likely the collection abilities of Xtra Cash advance have been stayed by your bankruptcy which removes their ability to collect on the debt (assuming your husband has not signed on the this cash advance).

If this is the case you trustee will likely be able to arrange for the funds to be returned.
