i am married to a bankrupt. he declared not me. We had marriage problems so i was separted from 9 months. After moving back in we had a house fire. everyhting was destroed. Bankruptcy is telling my ins comapny not to pay me until they see the proof of lossthat I myself put in.My husband sold me exempt assets befoer the fire. Can a trustee ask from my Proof of loss if my stuff is solely miine and the proof of loss is solely in my nmae and I am Not bANKRUPT.I have my own credit my own cars my own insurance etc. We bank separately. can you help me

Likely all the trustee is trying to do is to verify who the money, and indirectly the property that was destroyed is realted to. If proof of loss cannot be ascertained there is a legal argument that 1/2 of the proceeds received relate to your spouse and the trustee may have an interest.
