I am considering bakruptcy but have not been working for over 2 yrs. I have no funds to pay a trustee. I am flat broke. What about our joint account? what about EI overpayments?

If you have no income and have not had any income for the last 2 years you may have no need to file for bankruptcy so the cost could be irrelevant.

To determine this you are best to contact a local trustee, who will be happy to review your situation and help determine if a bankruptcy is necessary.
