Ignoring Creditors

I have defaulted on several unsecured creditors. I am unable to make payments. I am receiving 10-15 calls per day – I let them go to voicemail and delete them. In the future – I will probably claim Bankruptcy and or Proposal – Just wondering by refusing to speak to them – can this hurt me in Bankruptcy or Proposal?

It wouldn’t hurt you to much in a bankruptcy situation, but in a proposal it may. The reason for this is in a proposal you need your creditors to cooperate with the proposal that is offered, and the more negative the relationship with the creditors the more difficult it can be to get a proposal passed.
