If the trustee submits the paperwork to recommend an automatica discharge, are you guaranteed an automatic discharge? What circumstances could prevent the discharge from happening automatically?

Just because the paperwork is submitted doesn’t guarantee anything. The two most common things that can happen are:
1. The bankrupt doesn’t finish all of the required duties; and
2. A creditor oppposes a the discharge.
If either of these things happen then a court hearing must be scheduled.
