How many acres am I allowed to own that is part of my primary residence, assuming that there is no equity in the home including property?

Typically if you have no equity you don’t have a problem as secured assets essentially operate outside of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act. However, if there is any equity (even marginal amounts) it really is dependant on provincial laws so you would be best to a local trustee directly to clarify the details.
