after bankruptcy question

I was dicharged from bankruptcy in Sept. 2003. I have 5 accounts that are being reported as included in bankruptcy, charged off but according to my credit report, each shows activity as recently as July 2006. One even shows a balance. Should the accounts still have been showing activity after the bankruptcy? and should there be a balance showing on my credit report now for an account that was included in bankruptcy?

Unfortunately, the credit reporting agencies in Canada are for profit businesses and they report whatever their “members” tell them to report. In order to correct this problem you will either have to contact each of the creditors that has been re-listed and request that they report correctly or utilize the credit bureau’s dispute resolution process.

Neithe rmethod is quick and you will find both frustrating as no one will assume responsibility for your problem.

Keep plugging away and if things get really bad consider whether or not you should hire a lawyer to assist you.
