What is the maximum amount of time I have between consulting a Licensed Insolvency Trustee for the first time and deciding to file for bankruptcy?

There is no maximum time frame in between, in fact there is no obligation for you to file at all. However, from a trustee’s standpoint he is limited to 6 months. Therefore if more than 6 months has elapsed the trustee will likely need to sit down prior to you signing the bankruptcy documents and just review that there haven’t been any material changes since you first met.
