Proposal, government and business debt

May 7th, 2007 by Questions

we have shut down a failing business. The debt we have left is credit card debt, our government guaranteed business loan (SBL), some PST and some GST.

Can GST, PST and our SBL be included in a consumer proposal with the credit card debt – or do they have to be treated entiredly separately??

Also – if government deductions are allowed on a consumer proposal – will the government stop interest from accruing on PST and GST once the proposal is in place.

Yes, the government debts will be included in your proposal and interest and other charges will stop on the day you file.

Use the links on this page to find a trustee in your area and give them a call (or send them an e-mail) so you can get started sorting things out.
