what happens ifyour creditors oppose discharge?

I AM IN THE PROCESS OF FILING BANKRUPTCY. I OWE ABOUT 80,000. ITS BEEN A TOUGH YEAR WITH DEPRESSION , SEPARATION, AND A DROP IN MY INCOME. ALSO I LOST A LOT TO GAMBLING. NOW I HAVE QUIT GAMBLING AND STARTED TO FACE MY ISSUES. THE TRUSTEE I AM DEALING WITH SAID THAT IF MY CREDITORS OPPOSE MY DISCHARGE IT IS NO BIG DEAL. I WOULD JUST HAVE TO KEEP PAYING EVERYMONTH. CAN SOMEBODY EXPLAIN BEING OPPOSED DISCHARGE? AND EXCATLY WHAT EFFECT IT WILL HAVE ON ME. HOW MANY TIMES CAN YOUR CREDITORS OPPOSE YOUR DISCHARGE. PLEASE HELP

If any of your creditors believes there is a reason you should not be discharged from you debts, they always have the ability to have their arguments heard by court. This is done by opposing the bankruptcy discharge. Now in most instance it is rare to have an opposition, but it is always a possibility.

For more information on when an opposition is typically or how the courts in your area react you would be best to discuss this in greater detail with your trustee.
