is the discharge automatic?

Is a discharge automatic – assuming everything is straight-forward.
What I mean is does the trustee have to do something to get the discharge, or does the court automatically generate the discharge?

There are a number of things that you must do to be eligible for the automatic discharge (i.e. have all payments made in full prior to the expiry of the 9 month anniversary, complete all income and expenses statements, attend counseling sessions, etc.) and if you are up to date on all of these types of things then the trustee’s office will be able to prepare all the necessary documentation for the automatic discharge.
