Bankruptcy and Pension

I have been considering bankruptcy for approximately a month now. I have recently quit my job and moved cities. I have the option of taking a cash payment for monies I’ve contributed to a pension fund. I plan on paying off a rather large automobile repair that I had to have done, the rest of the money will go to pay for daycare monies owing. I know that if I do file, I’ll have to explain how I spent the money. Would this be considered spending unnecessarily?

Also, how long after I receive the payment would be suitable to file bankruptcy without having to explain where the money went?

These expenses might be deemed appropriate, they might not. It’s the sort of thing you need to discuss in person with a trustee before you file as the answer will vary depending on your situation.
