Bank Statements
I havent been making any payments on my credit cards and the phone calls wont stop so i am considering bankruptcy. I owe about $50,000. If i do decide to file, will i have to show my bank statements to show where every penny went over the past months or is that only looked at once bankruptcy is filed?
Thanks.

Normally you won’t have to provide any bank statements to the trustee when filing a bankruptcy. In a typical scenario this information is provided directly by your creditors, but in unusual cases you could be asked for these statements.
The best thing to do is contact a licensed trustee in your area, explain your situation and they will be able to advise you whether or not the believe any bank statements would be required.
