Equifax

I’m trying to get some errors corrected on my credit report. I have documentation from the creditor – indicating that there was in fact an error and my credit report needs to be correct.

However – Equifax does not reply to my letter or faxes. And they don’t have real people that answer the phones.

Would you have contact info for Equifax that is different than what they have on their site??

This is very frustrating – as it’s affecting my borrowing power. They’re sure quick at putting negative comments on your file – but when it comes to positive comments – they just totally ignore you. I don’t know why the banks rely on them so much.

A licensed trustee said...

Trustees do not have a private (or secret) line to Equifax – we’re stuck using the same toll free numbers and automated attendants that everyone else uses…

Feel free to raise a stink as, in my opinion, the credit bureaus don’t seem to be accountable for the damage that they may do.
