Income Tax Question

Hi, thank you so much for this site! My husband and I declared bankruptcy in Oct, 2006. Our trustees will be doing our income tax for that year and receiving any refunds.

However, we are not done with our trustees until June, 2007. Does this mean that they will also do our income tax for the year 2007 and receive any refunds that we might receive even though from June onwards we are finished with them?

A licensed trustee said...

Unless your trustee has specificaly told you that they are going to do your 2007 taxes (and you signed a form allowing them to do so) your trustee should NOT be doing your 2007 taxes.
