Annulment

January 19th, 2007 by Questions

If after filing for bankruptcy and recieving an automatic discharge in Ontario, could I still file for an annullment and repay the creditors?

I am in business and I would feel embarassed when dealing with some clients. While I do not currently have the funds to repay my creditors at this time, is there a limitation for when I could apply for an annulment?

The only situations you will be able to annul a bankruptcy is if it should not have been filed (i.e. you were not eligible to file a bankruptcy), or if it was based on fraudulent information. So as it sits, you can still go and pay all your debts in full should you choose but the bankruptcy cannot be reversed.
