First Meeting of Creditors
I just declared bankruptcy in Nov 06. This is my first time declaring. I have about 6 creditors with a total amount owing of $80K.
I was just notified of a meeting of creditors that has been scheduled.
Is this meeting normal or is this something to be worried about?

In a summary administration bankruptcy, which occurs if your assets are worth less than $10,000, a first meeting of creditors is very unusual. In an ordinary administration bankruptcy (if your assets are worth more than $10,000, or you are a corporation), a first meeting of creditors is required.
It is possible that one of your creditors has requested the meeting.
Since we do not have access to your file, I would suggest that you ask your trustee who has called the meeting, and whether or not there is anything you need to do to prepare for the meeting.
