provincial court fines and banruptcy
November 28th, 2006 by Questions
I have over $100,000 in fines personally due to charges of failing to remit PST forms for my corporation.
I am considering filing bankruptcy for the second time, will I be able to eliminate the outstanding fines ?

Court ordered fines are generally not dischargeable in a bankruptcy. Back taxes are dischargeable in a bankruptcy.
If you have been charged and fined by the court, it is unlikely that these fines will be discharged in a bankruptcy. However, you should consult a trustee for further information, and to review your specific case.
