phone calls and consumer proposal

I was wondering, I file a consumer proposal and want know when the phone calls will stop. Do they stop once they receive the documentation or once the 45 day waiting period is over?

A licensed trustee said...

Generally they stop as soon as your creditors become aware of the proposal. The fastest way to get them to stop is to answer the phone and tell them that you filed, the name of your trustee, and how they can contact that trustee. They shouldn’t call you again if you do.
