surplus income

I declared personal bankruptcy in August after I lost my job in July. I have applied for a job that will pay $3000 per month net. I know I will have to pay atleast $700 as surplus income.
My question is given my situation that I filed for bankruptcy when I was unemployed and now that I may start earning more than the govt limit – can my automatic discharge be extended because of high income?
Thanks

The way the trustee’s office will deal with this is they will average it out over the entire duration of your bankruptcy (i.e. 9 months) and if it is significant enough to increase your average income above the threshold you will have to pay the respective amount of surplus.
