Parking tickets

I live in British Columbia and I have a parking ticket. Are parking tickets erased with bankruptcy or are they considered a \”fine imposed by a court\”?

This largely depends if the ticket was given by a governmental agent or a private enforcement agency. I know in Alberta we have an organization called Impark. They are private organizations and patrol and ticket at private lots across the province. If Impark gives a ticket they do not qualify as a “fine imposed by a court,” but if I park at a parking meter and a governmental official issues a ticket then this is considered a debt that can’t released by a bankruptcy.
