International border = income

Is an international border considered income. I get money for the student each month to cover room and board.
If I file bankruptcy, does the full amount get calulated to be considered for income purposes. I do need to buy food, provide transportation and many other supplies.

All sources of income – no matter what they are are – must be disclosed and will be factored into your surplus calculation if you file an assignment in bankruptcy.

As to whether or not your trustee would allow “expenses” to be deducted aginst this income – that is matter to discuss with your trustee before you file. If it were me, I would treat you as a larger family (your natural family plus the border) as opposed to allowing expenses to be deducted, but that’s just my opinion.
