In a typical bankruptcy, no furnishings are lost, but this is dependent on a) how much your furnishings are worth based on a garage sale or liquidation value; and b) what province you are in.

Each province has it’s own set of exemptions, these exemptions are used to determine what value of furnishings you are permitted to retain. But as mentioned above, always remember these values are based on a liquidation value, not replacement costs.
