Error on credit report

I found an account that was included as part of my bankruptcy in my credit report. How do I go about removing it?

Contact the credit bureau in question and follow their instructions to remove disputed items.

Unfortunately, the crdit bureaus simply report what their members your creditors) tell them. What has likely happened is the creditor is still reporting the debt to the bureau.

Trustees do not communicate directly with the credit bureau – the bureau is notified by the government agency that trustees report to.

As frustrating as this may seem, the correction has to come from you and the creditor – the bureau won’t respond to a request from your trustee – believe me, we’ve tried.
