CCRA lien on house

October 12th, 2006 by Questions

Can CCRA obtain a lien on my home after I declare bankruptcy or is it too late then?? They have not put a lien on yet.

, A licensed trustee said:

No one, including the government, has the right to register a new lien or charge on you home after you file for a debt that existed before you filed.

If you’re sure there’s no lien yet you may want to speak to a trustee in your area quickly to determine the best course of action for you and your family.
