How to get discharged from bankruptcy?

I live in Toronto and would like to know if a person claims personal bankruptcy, how can they go about finding out if they can get discharged, and if so, is their a formal process to apply for a bankruptcydischarge? Who does one see?

Typically a discharge is obtained by your trustee once you have completed your obligations under the bankruptcy act. To determine if you have been discharged, or to arrange for a discharge you will need to contact your original trustee.
