How does bankruptcy effect my car lease

I am a senior. If I were to declare bankruptcy (which amounts solely to large credit card debt,) how would the bancruptcy affect my car lease on my new car I leased this past May?

It is possible to go bankrupt and keep your car, if you keep making your car lease payments. However, each lender has different policies, so it is important to discuss this with your lender before you go bankrupt. I suggest you arrange an initial consultation with a licensed trustee; bring your lease documents with you, along with your other bills, and they will be able to give you more guidance as to what will happen to your car if you go bankrupt.
