pension plan contributions

through my employer i contribute to my pension plan. those contributions are matched by the employer. can these funds be taken if i claim bankruptcy

As long as these pensions funds are locked in until a certain age (i.e. retirement) and they have no accessible cash value to them you most likely don’t have any problem. However, the exemption laws change slightly across the country, so you should review this with a licensed trustee in your area.
