House title

If my parents decide to put one of their homes in my name even though I have declared bancruptcy in the last 4-5 years,I have been discharged can the creditors or anyone else come after me for money.

If you were granted an Absolute Order of Discharge 4 or 5 years ago then it should not be possible for your pre-bankruptcy creditors to try and pursue you.

That being said, I strongly suggest you discuss this with the lawyer that is going to handle the change in title and ask them to research it and give you an opinion in writing before you let your parent’s make the transfer. It will cost you a few hundred dollars, but “better safe than sorry”…
