too many bills.

I am behind in all my payments . I have lots of credit card debt and want to go bankrupt.I will never be able to pay my debts off .I am only paying the interest. I am also behind in my household bills. I am behind in my electricity bill ,telephone etc. What happens if I go bankrupt? I am a few months behind on my electrity bill. Will I end up sitting in the dark with a flashlight .I could live without the phone but not power or my furnace oil bill.What happens ? thank ya

It is possible to include utilities in a bankruptcy, but they will then want a security deposit to re-connect you. Generally once you go bankrupt you have no credit cards or other debts to pay, so the money you were spending on those debts can go towards catching up on utilities. The rules vary in each province, so I suggest you contact a licensed trustee for more information.
