Can creditors pursue me for common-laws’ debts.

My partner who has just moved in with me is declaring bankruptcy. Will creditors come after me? Do I somehow loose assets or money because of this?

As long as you are not listed as a joint or co-borrower on any of the debts the creditors should have no reason to contact you, nor should there be any negative repercussions on you of any sort. The cost of your partners bankruptcy may be indirectly more expensive as a result of dual incomes in the household, but realistically the impact should be marginal. For more details on this calculation you should contact your partners trustee.
