Student Loan Debt

I have just received a letter from a lawyer stating I am going to be sued for $7500 for an old student loan. I was in touch in the collection company and filled out financial assets declaration every year. I am working full time (1 year) but I just can’t afford this amount. I am up to date on all my credit cards ($6000). What should I do?

Try contacting the National Student Loan Centre – they should be able to tell you the status of your loan, as well as the balance that you owe.
