Retning an Apartment

I was discharged from bankruptcy in July of 2003. I am looking to move to an apartment with my girlfriend who has had no credit problems. Should my bankruptcy pose any problems when applying to rent?

This will really depend on how detailed a review the landlord will do and the rental companies internal practices. While technically you will have negative information on your credit history report, this is only one of many aspects considered by Landlords. I have found that most landlords are willing to overlook one or two shortcomings in an application as long as you bring something else to the table (i.e. healthy income, excellent referencesâ€¦)
