Finding a bank

I have just been discharged from bankruptcy and went to open a chequing account. They wouldn’t open an account or take me as a client because of my poor credit rating. Do you know of any bank or credit union in British Columbia that will allow someone to open a chequing account post-bankruptcy?

All banks in Canada should allow you to open a bank account. Here’s a link from the Canadian Banker’s Association with more information.
