We have declared bankruptcy in Nova Scotia, we are moving to Alberta and we will want to buy a home out there by the time we move out there we will be discharged and have no bills owing just a van payment of around $450 per month, we are relocated our family of 5 we are currently in a home now and will have down payment after we sell it for a new home is it possible to get a mortgage put in Alberta with out havong interest rate so high that we can not afford, my husband is making really good money right now. and we will sure be able to afford it , could yo uj please tell me how this works.

It is possible to purchase a home after completing a bankruptcy. In most cases, because of the bankruptcy, the lender will require a higher down payment then if you have not gone bankrupt.
