tax and bankruptsy

I owe RC @2000-3000 dollars. They sent a letter of garanchee to a bank I never used in my life. I was afraid to send my taxes as I was scared they would immidiatly start to garanchee my wage, I did however, send the taxes off and am just waiting for the phone call.if i do claim do the trustees come to my house and check our propperty? Or do we supply a list? I also heard that it is very hard to get tax wiped on bankruptsy-do you know why?

If you file a bankruptcy the trustee will typically rely on a list you have supplied. If there is anything brought to the trustee’s attention to suggest that this list is inaccurate they may be required follow-up on the information you provided.

In terms of income tax debt, I don’t know where you have heard this, but it isn’t very accurate. Tax debt simply ranks as an unsecured credit and can be cleared just like your average credit card or bank loan.
