finding out list of creditors
I had an incorporated business that failed a few years ago. I am considering declaring personal bankruptcy there’s a few questions I was hoping that can be answered here:
1. I leased to own some equipments for the company and eventhough that I had returned the equipments to the leasing company, they are trying to collect on the lease.
2. I had sign for a business line of credit for the company. Now that the company is closed, am I liable for the outstanding amount that I signed for on behalf of the company?
3. I had also used up my personal lines of credit to keep the company running and had recently been contacted by a collection agents for one of the banks.
I am just currently working and my after tax income is approx. $2000/month. Due to all of these outstanding debts I am strongly considering declaring personal bankruptcy. However, due to the many creditors that I have, I am uncertain of who they all are and wondering If I delared bankruptcy, would the trustee be able to find out a list of all my creditors so they can be notified of my bankruptcy?

Unfortunately, you’ve asked more questions than we can quickly deal with on this website. Given the nature of your debts and the complexity of your situation you should contact a trustee in your area to arrange a face to face meeting to discuss your situation and your options.
