What a mess!

I’ve attempted a proposal that failed in 2003. Things haven’t gotten better unfortuantely and I’ve been avoiding creditors since. I owe Revenue Canada over 10 large and have a few other unresolved accounts before student loans. Am I still a candidate for bankruptcy? Or have I played myself with the failed proposal?

Yes, bankruptcy is still an option. As long as you owe more than $1000, and either reside or own property in Canada you are definitely eligible for bankruptcy. You should discuss your situation with a trustee in your area. If you click on the “Find An Expert” link on the right hand side of this page you will be directed to a reputable trustee in your area who will be able to explain how a bankruptcy will impact your situation.
