Will my bankruptcy affect my common law husband’s assets or income?

I have a student loan that is 10 years old in a few months. I am a stay at home mom. My loan was from before I knew my husband. If i file in a few months, does it affect his income and assets? ( 2 vehicles and a house with $20,000 in equity, and RRSP’s. I have nothing in my name) Will he have to report his financial info when I file? We live in BC.

Your bankruptcy does not effect your spouse’s assets if they have always been in his name. If you have no income, his income will not have any impact on your bankruptcy.
